I want to be your next Pasco City Councilwoman.

Updated: Jun 21

My name is Nikki Torres, and I am running to be your next Pasco City Councilmember for District 3.

Pasco has been my home for over 40 years where I’ve raised two wonderful daughters and three amazing grandchildren. I received a Master in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and was inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi, The National Society for Leadership and Success. I am running because our city, which was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, needs leadership to put it on a path to full recovery. This requires an experienced collaborator who will support smart growth, address affordable housing through permitting and zoning, and promote policies that will bring new businesses and manufacturing to our city.

With over 20 years of service to our community, I have the experience and training to provide this leadership. Currently, I serve as a Strategic Partnerships Manager for Western Governors University and am a member of Association of Washington Business Grassroots Alliance. Prior to this, I was a Small Business Development Officer working with small businesses on lending and Paycheck Protection Program needs. I have also served as President of the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, am a past Board Member of Tri-Cities Community Health, Visit Tri-Cities, and the Kennewick Police Department Foundation, and served an appointed term to the WA State Childcare Collaborative Taskforce.

I believe that my work in our community and my professional experience make me the best person for the Pasco City Council District 3 Position 3. Within our community, we know that Pasco is an important member of the Tri-Cities region whose leadership will move us forward. I will help our city recover from the pandemic and build a stronger economy that works for everyone in our city. Thank you to the community leaders that have endorsed my campaign, including Saul Martinez, Mayor of Pasco, and Matt Watkins, past Mayor of Pasco, and Jim Raymond, Franklin County Sheriff. I respectfully ask for your vote!
